The First Outing

Today we took Jenna out for the first time! We had to take her to the pediatrician, how thrilling. It was well worth it. She gained three ounces from Saturday, so Jenna is up to 8 lb, 11 ounces. The doctor checked her coloring and said we didn't have to prick her again because the jaundice was under control and the fact that she is gaining weight and not throwing up means her liver is working properly. Overall, she was very good at the doctor, thank goodness for pacifiers!!

On a side note, Mike and I survived our first night alone with Jenna. The grandmothers have been a terrific help. Jenna, Mike and I are so blessed to have all the support and love that we do from all of you.
