Two Months

Jenna turned two moths on Saturday. Time goes so fast. However, her father feels like it has been years since we had a full night of sleep. Anyway, she had her two month visit to the doctor yesterday, which included four shots. Of course she screamed bloody murder during them, but then was quickly calmed down. The best part we finally have those numbers that everyone keeps asking for...Weight-12 lbs 8 ounces and length 23 and 1/4 in. She was in the 80th percentile for length and head, but the weight was 90th percentile!! Her Aunt Michaelyn insists it is all muscle, and it very well could be because she is so strong! She consistently tries to pull her self up when she is in her carseat, bouncy chair or in the boppy. Other than that she smiles a lot, and tries to get as many sounds out as she can. Jenna has also learned that she can see so much more by moving her head from size to side, so there are minutes where she will entertain herself by just doing that.

May I add as far as her strength....she is quite funny, when you try to bathe and powder under her neck (which there isn't much of yet) and she doesn't want you to lift her head to do that she will "lock" her chin so that you can't move it, no way! She definitely has a mind of her own and knows exactly what she wants already!(to those that knew my mom, her middle name certainly fits her!)Her smiles are the best and watching her work on getting the sounds out is just too cute!

I can't get over how big she is getting so fast! I love that smile - Mom and Dad are doing a great job raising a Happy Girl. (Just wait til she's 14)

She definitely has become a talker and has develped quite a personality. I was glad that all of her grandparents were able to see her this weekend. Now that she has become so alert and so vocal it is defintely easier to travel with her. However, I think she will keep her mother on her toes. After doing so well with the bottle for a week now, Jenna gave me a problem with it again. However, I finally won after a 30 mintue battle.
